Circus of Dreams is excited about FIRE!

fire owl at sourceThe Source Fire Department is a team of people who maintain safety for all fire-related art and experiences at Source.  Fire Marshals walk the grounds and monitor all fires and fire performances. Keeping an extra set of eyes on our Fire Dancers, they are integral in all fire art installations, providing security for the perimeter and maintaining safety.

Fire Art Installations are a very important part of Source.  It is an opportunity for people who create fire in a unique and much larger scale beyond the normal fire dancing and/or fire shows.  Fire installations are considered big burns and big performance art.  Source must have considerable notice to schedule and provide safety measures for large-scale fire art pieces.

We are calling on all Fire Dancers near and far to join us Saturday night for the Conclave Burn around “The Top Top Hat.” We also invite those who want to put on a large scale Fire Performance. There’s plenty of space, so please let us know!!!

“Logo Fuego,” our beloved symbol that  has burned strong every year, has been retired to make way for The “Top Top Hat.” It will be as it sounds: a giant top hat! It will be interactive, in many ways. The best part is that on Friday and Saturday, Source Members can build art in the “Create Source” Tent that will be used to fill the Hat before it burns. “Logo Fuego” is not gone — there are plans by one of our most brilliant minds of Source, Jerry Isdale, to Make it Glow…. Were hoping to see “The Fire Garden” return in 2012 for an interactive experience of a lifetime. Merkabah Fire Productions will be Performing on Friday Night At the Reception of Sarah and Remy’s wedding. Their show is dedicated to Sara & Remy’s love for each other and the magic their union has created. The Highlight on Sunday Night: Mavis Muller Returns again to bless us with “Reclaim,” a basket masterpiece.

All Fire Dancers, Fire Art, Propane Based Art, Etc… If it has fire… IT NEEDS TO REGISTER at the Fire Station to receive a fire pass. We will be reviewing all safety regulations at the point of inspection of all big fire art installations.  All fire art installation owners please try to provide tiki torches, rope lights, fire extinguishers, and the appropriate fuel for your installation.

Fire Department is not responsible for providing fuel.

If you are interested in helping the Fire Department by volunteering your time, or if you are a Fire Dancer or are creating an Art Installation that burns, please contact Bryan Axtell at Fire@Sourcemaui.com to register.

And please remember: let the fire of inspiration guide you through your darkness!!!
