At Source everybody is the main act.
Our Talent shows are a main part of Source where the community gets to showcase itself…children and adults alike are welcome to perform… see each other’s hidden talent gem!
On Friday and Saturday nights in the circus tent from 8 to 10:00pm there will be TALENT SHOWS open and available to all participants. Five to 15 minute slots are available for performers. Friday night will be our regular talent show with a full stage and sound system.. black light shows are optional too as lights will be provided.. here is some info on Saturday night.. we will still have our regular talent show with an additional twist.. The Gong Show! ..how long the Gong Show and Talent show lasts on Saturday night depends on sign ups….
THE GONG SHOW!
This year at Source you have the option to submit your act into our 5th Annual Highly Successful Talent Show OR the Premiere of The Gong Show! What’s the difference? In the Gong Show you might possibly get Gonged off. Of course this is all in good fun andnot for the highly sensitive (we suggest you enter the already famous Talent Show). It is also to encourage you to submit even sillier, crazier, & zanier acts! Our panel of celebrity judges will either Love you or GONG! Please limit your act to 3 minutes or less. Acts can be entered starting now and of course once your idea hits. Be sure to sign up up your act (and music if you need it beforehand) with someone in the Theatre Department. So have fun with your talent… give us a real winner for Friday or Saturday or be silly with it and do a parody and sign up for the gong show on Saturday!
Bring me your wacky, your strange and quirky talent. Like to hula hoop while reciting Shakespeare? Do you have a burning urge to balance a chair on your head to punk music? Or how about belly dancing, opera, puppetry, break-dancing, rapping, clowning….. need I say more?
This is Source V Circus of Dreams and I will be your M.C. to help create the space and stage venue to present your talent. Bring your own live music or pre-recorded on preferably an I-pod as we will have a sound system to plug into or I can pick some music for you. There will be lights, camera and action. The sooner the better for sign ups…
